fashion scene in Hyderabad is bustling with activity.
It looks like the fashion fever is gripping the
city of Hyderabad. The fashion stores in the twin
cities are bringing new designer clothes of reputed
fashion designers to attract the attention of fashion
savvy people. And this fashion frenzy is providing
a plenty of choice for the buyer. The latest on
the scene is Smita Shroff's Oorja, located
in Punjagutta. It has recently added Rina
Dhaka creations to its already long list of
designers. Apart from this, Oorja's collection comprises
a range of ethnic ghagras, sarees and formal Indian
wear. The range of clothes comes in both formals
as well as informals and in natural colours of ginger,
paprika and cardamom.
Also, another boutique at the White House
is showcasing designer Anshu Modi's creations.
This designer from Calcutta has no formal training
in designing, but is right on top in Calcutta,
and is pretty well known in the designer circles.
Her creations are a blend of tradition and modernity,
with a touch of regal splendour. The use of chic
fabrics like chiffon, with hand and block printing
and a little bit of glitter thrown in, makes her
outfits very unique. She does a lot of heavy
zari, swarovski, and badla. She has on offer
salwar suits, lehengas-cholis, sarees, men's
kurtas and smart batuas.
Located in Begumpet and the brain child of Sudha
Jalan, the boutique displays the creations of
well-known designers like Anjuman, Vinita Pitti,
Jattin Kochar, Wild Orchids, Natalia and Suasarya.
